My opinion on online education
31.03.2021
I've already spent a year in online education, and I'm sure that everybody else did. I guess that it can be a bit disorienting and exhausting at first. The weird thing about online education is that you expect it to be very simple and stress-free. However, procrastination becomes a rising issue. Unlike normal school, where you don't have much to do other than to pay attention and listen, you are free to do anything in online lessons. Also, stacking homework doesn't seem as bad, as there isn't an actual physical reminder of it; maybe just some blocks on your screen. Some students end up being in a cycle of procrastination-work because of it.
However, there are some good sides to it. Students may not feel as bad about going to schools and classes. After all, you don't have to go anywhere; simply just turn your computer on and go to a link. Some information may also be easier to understand, as you have the internet right at your disposal. Any unfamiliar words or hard concepts can be looked up to get a better understanding of them (just don't cheat!). In some schools, students can even set up their own schedules for learning.
For me, there's a bit of a seasonal preference. It gets really cold here in the winter, and I would much rather stay at home instead of having to put a lot of clothes on and walk through the snow. In the spring and fall, I don't really mind normal school as much. What about you?
