All Microsoft Office applications ranked

14.04.2021

We all have used Microsoft Office applications at some point, and I'm sure that many of you use them now. This includes stuff like Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I'll be ranking many of them in terms of ease of use and usefulness. I'll also be excluding Microsoft Access (database controlling), as it's very useful but many people haven't had any experience with it.

6. Microsoft Publisher

This is at the bottom of my list because it doesn't have a lot of features and isn't even used by most people. For those unaware, Publisher is used for creating booklets and posters. I've had to use it for a school project about a year ago, and I was wondering why I didn't just use Word or Powerpoint. However, I suppose that it has its uses.

5. Microsoft OneNote

OneNote is basically just used for creating notes. It's useful when you want to have reminders and other things easily and quickly set up. However, many phone apps can do this better and quicker, and I would personally resort to just using them instead.

4. Microsoft Outlook

There isn't much to say about Outlook. It is an e-mail application and does everything that you'd expect one to do. I personally use g-mail, but I've used Outlook before, and I can say that there's not much of a difference between the two.
3. Microsoft Word
We are now entering the territory where every single app here is used by most Windows users. Word is the most iconic Office app, and it's due to how simple and easy to use it is. I also find myself using it almost every day. There's not much to say about it, really; it's used for writing documents and everybody knows that.
2. Microsoft Excel
I absolutely adore Excel. You can use it to create simple and quick spreadsheets, but my favorite feature has to be the graphs. Simply just create a spreadsheet (doesn't even need to be good-looking; just a few rows and columns of information), select it, and pick a graph. You've instantly got a good-looking, customizable graph. What would take a lot of time to draw can be done in a single minute.
1. Microsoft Powerpoint
Powerpoint is my favorite Office application because it's so easy and fun to use. It's also very versatile and can be used to create great-looking posters. It also has a massive amount of good-looking presets and is generally an absolute joy to use. I may be biased towards it because it's the app that I've spent many hours on, making school presentations. However, I can't help but admit that I love it a lot.
