Blogging on Tilda vs. Blogging on Blogger
18.04.2021
Most of you may not know this, but I used to have another blog before this. I used the Tilda platform, which was a platform for creating websites. Tilda works on the premise of using building blocks to construct websites. For example, you may add a header with the website name and the main menu, an item list, and then a footer with some of the website information. It was very fun to build your website like that, and surprisingly simple too! Looking at your work after finishing it was very rewarding. I blogged on Tilda for approximately 4 months, uploading once every 1-3 days. I stopped posting because I ran out of blog ideas. I didn't really get any money or major viewership from it, but it was certainly a very fun experience while it lasted.
Blogger is a little more straightforward. You just select a website template and write posts. Posts are made using a simple editor; I would compare it to Google Documents, but with fewer features. Unlike Tilda, Blogger is made for blogs only, just as the name implies. I reckon that this is why it doesn't have as many structural features and such. However, it works well if you just want to make a blog for yourself to spill your thoughts into, which is basically what this is. I chose Blogger as it was said to be very easy to use. Generally, I preferred the Tilda experience more. I think that the website looked much more interesting. It's down, unfortunately, as I didn't really want to pay it when I did not post on it. However, I might revive it in the future...
